Welcome to The Compassionate Friends of Johnson County Kansas.  We are sad for the reason you are here but hope you find some comfort.

We will be meeting on the second Thursday of each month in person in the Parlor Room at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (COR), 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224.

The topic for May 9, 2024 will be “How Grief Affects the Body: It’s not just emotional.”

Here’s how to find the Parlor Room.

We now have a siblings breakout group at our monthly meetings. The Bereaved Sibling meeting is at 7:00 p.m. in Building B, Room B257, also at COR.

Inclement weather: We follow the Blue Valley School District.  If BVSD is closed we won’t have an in-person meeting but there will still be a Zoom meeting.  Check https://www.bluevalleyk12.org/inclementweather for the status of the BVSD.

The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.
